Clark Reid rocketed to prominence with the birth of Commercial Country Radio in the South Island of New Zealand. The release of his debut album "Give My Regards To Nashville" in 1999 saw five songs hit the top ten listener voted country charts at "88COUNTRYFM" with "Country Roads" going to Number one and staying there for four weeks. Later when the "Wolf Radio Network" went nationwide on the Sky satellite distribution system "Three Chain Road" went straight to the top of their charts and stayed there for six weeks.

It's now ten years since the first song hit New Zealand's airwaves and in that time Clark's performances at Rodeo's, Bars, Clubs, Awards, Festivals, Hangi's and monumental booze ups are now the story of legend....

2010 has heralded a new era in Clark Reid's career... his infamous "Country Superband" is reformed and booked for gigs, Clark is back with an ever greater edge than before with a determination to reflect his soul in his music and the tunes now being belted out in raspy authority are designed to touch at the soul of the person with country in their heart.

Clark was raised breaking and riding horses, his father was a horse trainer and country music was part of the lifestyle. It still is. Country is as Country does... is one of Clark's favorite expressions and his genuine "in touch with the dirt" styling appeals to a wide audience but not surprisingly especially those who live and breathe the country way of life and all of the joy and struggle that goes with it.

He's a hard drinking, hard playing, country boy who never forgets the loyalty extended to him by his fans from throughout the backcountry of New Zealand. 2010 sees Clark returning to all of his old haunts, his extended fan base and the joy of telling musical stories that are simply a way of life to so many people are at the forefront of his consciousness... stories for people just like him.....
